Aims :
The main aim is to teach the Arabic language and culture to children and adults
Objectives :
- Provide classes of different levels to teach Arabic from the Beginner level to the GCSE level and beyond.
- Encourage Arabic arts and calligraphy.
- Celebrate the occasions of the Arabic culture.
- Run social functions like trips and social gatherings.
Administration
This is a voluntary organisation which is managed by a handful of un-paid Trustees.
The teaching is done by volunteer teachers whom are paid nominal expenses towards the transport and other costs. These expenses and the rental charges of the school premises are covered by charging nominal tuition fees. The income from the fees should also cover the cost of refreshments which are provided freely during break times.
Programme
Our classes are run every Saturday from 10am till 2pm. During this period there will be two breaks. Refer to the calendar page for the holidays.
Tuition Fees
These are based on the following three terms: the Autumn term from September till December, the Winter term from January till March, and the Spring term from April till July. The fees are worked out per family per term. The amount depends on the number of persons who attend the classes. A family of one person attending pays £75 per term. Each additional person costs an additional £25 per term up to a maximum of £150 per term.
